a new haircut

i love the feel of a new haircut! Its one of my favourite things in life. Even if its just a trim, the whole feeling of your hair is absolutely orgasmic.... ok perhaps not THAT good.... but its DAMN GOOD!

I just had myself a nice trim and colour (nothing hot pink or electric blue) but both turned out fabolously so im wrapped! I cant stop touching my smooth, clean and nicely styled hair :) and it smells great! I have been cutting my hair at this Korean hairdresser in Strattie. They actually speak english!!! YAY!!! And so far they havent disappointed me. They are affordable, good, and have all the latest technology and divine smelling products! I nearly giggled when they stuck these tiny ear caps on me before dying my hair. Think mini shower caps, or those condom-microphone-cover-thingos they use at Viva but for my ears! Spinny!!!

Back to touching myself... my hair that is *wink*

my anaemic skin

Its pale, veiny and sickly.... yes its my anaemic skin.

It has been hidden under wool, cotton and various synthetic fibres for the last 6 months hybernating turning from what was once a warm olive tone to a white tofu'esque hue. Standing naked in front of the mirror is often rather amusing during summer as the outline of my bikini casts a white silhouette around my body. But now, it all blends in like one big tofu. Today however, it started taking on a new hue as the sun finally came out (on a sunday yay!) and warmed my skin...... aaah...... the beginnning of a tan line :)

Perhaps, just maybe, summer has finally come and winter has left to the northern hemisphere.IT maybe time to brush off the cobwebs of all the minis, singlets and dresses that ive accumulated this spring in the hopes of baring some of skin that ive forgotten i had.

Bless the sun and all the Vitamin D it brings!

flying away

The thought of disappearing is somewhat of a fantasy, to just walk away from my life and explore what lies outside our safe little world. But somehow it seems easy and yet very hard at the same time. You can leave, but what do u leave behind? You can go somewhere, but wont you be faced with the same reality? God has a path already set for us, its just our task to figure out which way it is. So, what if you go off tangent? do something unexpected?...would it be good?....or would it be worse...... Eventually you will have to find a job, a place to live, people to be friends with etc etc. Thats life, and no matter where you are, its the same. There's always going to be someone you want to bitch slap, someone you hate at work, something you hate about your home, something you miss. So, disappearing doesnt seem to be an answer.

Darwin's theory on 'fight or flight' when one is presented with danger applies here. Does one stay and face reality and deal with it like a tough bitch or does one chicken out and run?

Going on holiday is like escaping, disappearing for a short time to a new place. Away from your normal life. We all look forward to holidays because it is a time where we can temporarily escape and disappear to a place where fewer (or no) people know us, somewhere new, somewhere to experience different feelings, different things. But just as quickly as we fly, do we fly back.... and wait for the next time we can fly.......

Melbourne trip

Its been almost two weeks since bc and I returned from our trip to Melbourne.

The Hypes
Cafe culture – rows and rows of cafes in little back alleys of the CBD with yum-delicious food and fragrant coffees. We enjoyed a number of breakfast/brunch/lunches and none disappointed :)Yumbo!

The geometric city – granted that Sydney is the same way, I just particularly loved the way every main street has a baby version, it made exploring really easy. No maps needed!

The trams – very melbourne :)

The people – ok, maybe im too used to Sydney, but the people seemed to be a tad friendlier then usual (sorta like Perth people * wink * ). Not one melbournian scowled or made a face when I told them that we were from Sydney.

Laurent Patisserie – At Becky’s recommendation we finally found this little French patisserie on the last day. The coffee was ok but the pastries were yum :) but a tad pricey. But hey, its all about the experience and it was lovely. Thanks becks!

Lala Land Bar – One very funky bar. The lighting was a seedy red but it was actually really nice inside with lots of bar space and lounges. Perfect for the Friday nite when it absolutely bucketed down with rain. Close by was the infamous Amber Lounge with a really really seedy crowd.

Next Blue at Crown – Hmm…not sure what to say…. Well, free entry for chicks kicked ass!! (Boys were whinging like bitches). Lots of lesbian grinding (from me and my 4 hot chicks) and drinks all around (see incriminating fotos above). The music was interesting, it was usual commercial RnB but remixed and lots of songs me and gals had never heard of (we getting old ey fran). But an awesome nite overall :)

The Gripes
Strange weather – we had it all, hot and humid, and rain in all its forms – big buckets, spitting, sheets

Lack of Purchases – sadly, bc and I didn’t come back with much, but what we did buy was nice :) and I suppose extra special. I rex we spent more money eating * burp *

“The Deluxe” Room at Duxton Hotel – I felt slightly jibbed that the so called ‘Deluxe’ room was about the size of my bathroom but on the bright side the location was fantastic and I did get a view of the (dirty ) Yarra river. Heck it was just a place to rest my sick weary head.

So, the next fly away location ? who knows…….. sometime soon I hope…..

murphy's law

why meeeeeeeeeee???
for months ive been looking forward to my little trip to melbourne and two days before i fly, i get sick!! It started with a cough, and i thought....thats ok it will clear....... then the next morning i got so much snot/bugga/mucus up my nose i couldnt breathe and it was all downhill from there. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what a shocker!!!

so im sniffing, coughing, and blowing (my nose) in bed asking WHY ME???? stoopid murphys law...... its the dumbest yet truest of all laws!!! DAMN YOU MURPHY!!!

if its not lining up at the grocery store or picking the most seemingly perfect item only to discover at home thats its NOT, this law kicks us almost like a tall poppy-esque syndrome. WHY????? because nature can be totally cruel!!! its november and im going to melbourne and its still raining cats and dogs and im so sick i feel like O.D'ng on panadol and other assorted drugs.

sorry, im a whining bitch.... BUT SO WOT! I AM SICK! I CAN BE A WHINING BITCH IF I WANT TO...........
rite??

oks, better pack.......
damn you murphy
*snif sniff*

Jacksons on George Part2
Not Another Asian Dance Party was a huge success thanz to the email circulating far and wide. Thanks to those who came, drank, made friends, and most importantly partyed hard!!! Sorry, no happy snaps were taken (right???....) Happy birthday to Christian, Stephen and Lillian :)

I was quite thankful that we all made the right decision to change the venue as some would have surely been disappointed. Special thanks to dre and dj hyper for helping us out :)
Also, big hugs to Jimbo and mate who dj'd - great stuff guys!! tHanZ!!!!!

I was quite tanked out intelligently spaced out my drinks so I was relatively coherant...or so i think.... But sadly, a little unco-tumble when i was leaving left me with a painful memory (see picture below) - a nice love heart shaped bruise.

So, what do we have in store for the next few months? xmas shopping, friends leaving for long holidays, and hopefully more fun gatherings..... till then..... time to recover from my hangover..... over and out....

new toys

I love new things! Who doesnt??! Although i am one who doesnt like 'change' , i like new stuff. Although my credit card is about to cut itself up with all the burning ive been doing.

"How would u like to pay for this?"
*flick*
"credit card pleazzze."

its too easy
its too dangerous
its.... i'll deal with the bill later :P

Things ive recently bought include countless amounts of clothes and shoes(all summer stuff but with no bloody sunshine in sight!), my cute apple-green mini ipod, my new electric toothbrush (zzzzzzzz.... *bling*) and my new Sony Ericson K700i.

This season im trying not to buy anything black, brown or blue. Trying to get into the whole spring thing, even if the weather ISNT! grrrr... From sassy skirts to uber cute tops, im loving the colours this spring/summer. Bring it!

I stiil have yet to smoothly use and download stuff onto my apple green Ipod. But its playing music so im happy :) User friendly Apple my a**!!! Grrrr

Meanwhile my user friendly electric toothbrush is giving me sparkling teeth and peachy pink gums and hopefully minty fresh breath :) I dont get my usual vigorous brushing that I enjoy but hey it makes my teeth silky smooth so im all for it :) LOVEEEEEEEEEEE IT!

Finally, my most latest purchase is my new phone. I will hold a memorial for my lately departed Nokia 8310.... poor baby.... twas a short life....but a good one :)
But my new Sony Ericson is kicking a**!!! Lots of functions i probably wont use much but hey, its new and shiny and most important it WORKS! Its quite a intuitive phone and actually surprisingly not AS difficult to use after years of Nokia brainwashing :P

So, what else will i buy next? Nothing....I really gotta stop. You know you are spending too much when the bank calls you and offers you a higher limit.... Gotta learn to say 'No'

'No'

,......
