Climb every mountain

At 12 metres up , Im asking myself - why do i do this again?
Ahh yes,.... the spectacular view, the adrenalin rush and a crazy feeling of achievement.
BRING IT ON!

My second experience on real rock at Boronia Point in the Blue Mountains was superb. As always it began with a super early start and a final pit stop at Blackheath for a warm crusty meat pie and a takeaway gourmet sandwich. Then a 15 minute downhill bush trek to the spot with the cool morning breeze in the warm rising sun. Boronia Point is perfect as it has shade in the morning and in the evening and is only 12 metres high (last time i climbed was 18 scary metres!!). Thankfully there were also a wide range of climbs there from a level 14 (absolute wuss) to a level 25 (absolute nuts). I stuck with my 17's :P

At the peak of each climb, I nervously peak over my shoulder at the breathtaking view of down below. Then, I breathe a loud sigh of relief and signal frantically to be let down. The trek back up the mountain to the car is always tougher and i swear i was going to have a coronary (really unfit chick here!!) but we made it safely and thats all that matters :)

As scary as it was, Im keen to keep going with both indoors and the occasional outdoors. I never thought a big lazy ass'd scaredy-cat chick like me would grunt my way up a wall while being wedgied in a harness :P

BRING IT :P

A mixed bag of thoughts

I recently went to WestMead Private Hospital to visit a friend who was having some minor neurosurgery to the soft tissue near her spinal cord. I was rather nervous to see her as ive never actually visited anyone at hospital before. My friend Jessie and I managed to get into the ICU which only allows family in but because "all asians look alike" we just said we were her daughters :P hehehehe FOOOLSSS :P She was hooked up to a lot of tubes and machines which were a little scarey to see. And every so often, the machines would randomly flash RED lights and make horrid noises which freaked us out - CODE BLUE CODE BLUE - yeah, i watch way too much television.
Thankfully, she is recovering nicely and even managed a few giggles and smiles as she groggily pumped up her morphine with her right hand :)

On the way there, I had a rather nostalgic experience to the days i used to travel to Liverpool for work. I also had a rather intimidating experience with some of the people that live in Sydney's ghetto - lets just say i felt a little out of place and clutched my bag till my knuckles were white! I was sitting in a carriage occupied by 6 guys (mid-20s) who were all obviously mates and who were sitting in 6 different chairs and I swear looked like they would jump me and grab my bag or something. They were glaring at me every now and again which perhaps was paranoia or perhaps because of the massive zit on my face!!! Now, a smart girl would've slowly walked to another carriage, but as I was in the middle of a new high score in Puzzle Bobble, I just paranoidly looked up every 5 seconds and held on to my phone. Thankfully they got off and I happily continued on with my game (HIGH SCORE BABY!!!!).

When I got home, I was treated with something super sweet. When i walked into the elevator, an uber cute korean girl was staring at me so i made buggy eyes and smiled at her. As she walked out of the elevator she turned around and gave me the cutest smile and a big wave. I just turned to mush and had an internal *awwwwwwww*

Its funny how such a small experience can make your whole week :)

Oh, and since its a mish mash of stuff, Congratulations to Amanda and Bernie on their engagement :) Drinks on friday guys !!!! Yeepeee!!!
